Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account data — your email address and display name when you sign up (email/password or Google sign-in via Firebase Authentication).
Registry data — the registries, items, funds, event details, and photos you create. Anything you mark public or share by link is visible to people you share it with.
Guest interactions — when a guest claims a gift or contributes to a fund, we store the name, optional email, optional message, and amount they choose to provide. These are shown to the registry owner so they can say thank you.
Usage analytics — anonymous page views, clicks, and product-usage events via Google Analytics (GA4), plus per-registry view/click counts shown to registry owners.

The extension reads the address of your current tab only when you click it(or use its right-click menu) to detect the product on that page. It does not track your browsing history and has no access to other tabs.
If you connect the extension to your account, a scoped access token is stored in your browser's local extension storage. It can only add items to your own registries, and you can revoke it anytime with the extension's Disconnect button.
The extension sends data only to getjoybox.com — never to third parties.

To run the product: show registries to guests, record claims/contributions, send the emails you'd expect (welcome, event reminders, claim notifications — from hello@getjoybox.com).
To improve the product, using aggregate analytics.
We never sell your data. We share it only with the processors that run the service: Google Firebase (auth, database, hosting), Google Analytics, and Resend (email).

Cash gifts move directly between guests and registry owners (e.g. Interac e-Transfer). GetJoyBox never receives, holds, or processes the money and never sees banking details.
As an Amazon Associate, GetJoyBox earns from qualifying purchases made through outbound retailer links — at no extra cost to you.

Edit or delete your registries and items anytime from your account.
Unlisted registries never appear in the public directory — the link is the only way in.
